WHAT TYPE OF SCREEN SHOULD I INSTALL
A normal size screen is 18 x 14. The number 18 is how many rectangles wide there are in a square inch and 14 is how many rectangles tall there are. From there you can go up to the 20 x 20 gnat screen or no-seeum screen. This screen is great for properties that border water such as lakes or canals. Also great for properties that are in a wooded area or properties that have problems with iguanas or other animals like cats or squirrels climbing on them. This bring us to Pet screen which is $3.00 – $3.75 per SQ FT for those doggies we love so much that continue to break through the screen when they get a little excited. This screen is great for the durability of it and the lifespan as well you can easily expect 15 years out of it compared to 8 years with normal 18 x 14. There is also Florida Glass screen at $3.50- $4.00 per SQ FT which is great for distorting the view from neighbors or the occasional peeping tom. It can also be used on roof panels that are under 6ft wide for giving you a close to waterproof screened roof. It’s also great on the bottom panels for keeping out dirt and water from storms. The lifespan however goes down to about 5 years in direct sunlight, but it looks great when installed properly. For houses on golf courses that keep getting balls through there screen Tuff screen comes into play at $2.75 – $3.00 which is a lot like pet screen but not as tightly patterned and comes in more sizes for bigger panels.
