What Is My Safe Florida Condo?

A state-funded grant program that reimburses condo associations for hurricane mitigation improvements including roof upgrades, opening protection, and structural reinforcements.

Eligible Improvements

• Roof upgrades - Replacement or reinforcement to meet current codes
• Secondary water barriers - Additional leak protection
• Hurricane shutters/impact windows - Opening protection
• Roof-to-wall connections - Hurricane straps and clips
• Roof deck attachment - Stronger fastening systems

Grant Details

• Matching grants up to $175,000 per association
• Covers up to 50% of eligible mitigation costs
• Must be Florida condo association (3+ units)
• Building must be 3 stories or less
• Must obtain wind mitigation inspection before and after
